Born in 1955, Hardy Rudolz has made a name for himself not only as an actor in musicals and plays, but also as a dubbing artist, entertainer, author and increasingly as a director. He completed his training from 1975 to 1978 at the Hedi Höpfner acting studio in Hamburg. He studied singing in Hamburg, Berlin and Vienna and dance in Berlin and Hamburg. Hardy Rudolz started his international career with appearances in the USA and England with an engagement as Principal Chanteur at the legendary Lido de Paris.
At the Theater des Westens in Berlin he played in musicals like My Fair Lady, A Chorus Line and Jesus Christ Superstar. In Hamburg he was given the role of Munkustrap in the premiere of Cats, then he caused a furore with the title role in Das Phantom der Oper. Many know his voice from their childhood days probably from Sesame Street - he worked as dubbing artist for many characters. At the Eutin Festival in 2012 he directed the operetta The Flower of Hawaii.
