Ticket purchase and reservation

Where are the box offices? When are they open?

You will find the concert box office with daily and evening box office in the opera barn, Alter Bauhof 11. It is open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon during the season. On performance days it opens 2 hours before the beginning of the performance.

Can I pay with my card at the box office?

Yes, both with EC card and credit card (MasterCard, Visa).

Until when can I pick up my reserved tickets, until when can I pick up my paid tickets?


We keep reserved tickets ready for you to pick up 3 days before the performance at the latest. Prepaid tickets are available at the box office half an hour before the performance at the latest.

Are there card vouchers?

Vouchers can be purchased online via the ticket shop and at the box office.

Are children allowed in a performance?

Kinder ab drei Jahren dürfen mit gültiger Eintrittskarte in die Vorstellung. Es ist nicht gestattet, dass Kleinkinder ohne Karte etwa auf dem Schoß ihrer Eltern teilnehmen.

Arrival and parking spaces

Where can I park?

Around 1000 parking spaces are available around the city centre of Eutin. These public parking spaces can be used free of charge from 3 p.m. onwards. Designated parking spaces, most of which are within walking distance of the festival grounds in the Schlossgarten, can be found at https://www.eutiner-festspiele.de/en/how-to-find-us.

Where can I park as a handicapped person?

Parking spaces for handicapped people are available directly at the opera barn. However, their use must be announced in advance by notifying the number plate by telephone on +49 04521/80010 or by e-mail to .

What is the easiest way to get to the Eutin Festival?

Where is the access to the festival located? And after the performance?

Our security staff will be happy to welcome you at the entrances. Please follow the tips and advice of our staff.

There are two entrances to the lake stage:

  • Access Am Jungfernstieg with passage through the castle park
  • Access Alter Bauhof* with passageway past the opera barn

* Please note that access to Alter Bauhof is not recognized by all navigation devices. Alter Bauhof is a new access road and is located on Oldenburger Landstraße opposite the Rettberg barracks. After the performance, the footpath through the Schlossgarten to the exit Am Jungfernstieg will be discreetly illuminated. Please be sure to follow the lighting on this route.

What happens if I'm late?


Then please wait at the edge of the grandstand for a convenient moment to quietly visit your seats. Our staff will support you to the best of their ability.

Is there a gastronomic offer before the performance? And during the break?

At the Opera Barn, an outdoor restaurant is available for our guests from two hours before the event and during the 30-minute performance break, which offers snacks and drinks as well as warm snacks from regional cuisine.

May I bring a picnic?

Picnic baskets and other catering are welcome. The only criterion: enough space. As long as you are stowed away at your feet, everything is in perfect order.

Where are toilets for handicapped people?

In the opera barn, next to the ticket office, there is a barrier-free WC. If required, please contact one of our employees.

Where are the toilets?

The sanitary facilities are positioned at the edge of the castle garden and are clearly signposted. It consists of three modern toilet containers.

The performance

In which language will be performed?

The opera productions are sung in the original language of the libretto. Musicals will be sung in German.

Is there a surtitle facility?

There is no such facility.

Is there a break during the performance? How long does a performance last?

The event lasts approx. 3 hours, including a half hour break.

In the grandstand

May I take my dog to the show?

Dogs and other animals are not allowed in the stands.

May I take a walker-rollator into the show?

In order to keep escape routes clear, rollators must be parked in front of the entrance to the grandstand. They will be provided with a nameplate.

Am I allowed to take my mobile phone into the performance or to photograph or film it during the performance?

During the performance, photography and the recording of images and sound are prohibited. Mobile phones must also be switched off and remain switched on.

What kind of clothing is appropriate?

Functional clothing. As a guest at an open-air event, you should wear wisely chosen clothing to protect yourself from rain showers (rain jacket, trousers, cape) and direct sunlight (sun hat, sun cream).

May I unfold my umbrella? Are there rain capes?

With an umbrella you obstruct the view of the others. Umbrellas are therefore undesirable. You can buy rain capes on the premises.
