Olaf Reinecke has been internationally active in the independent dance scene since 1999. The studied sport and movement scientist was previously as a young ballroom dancer several times German champion and semi-finalist of the European Championship. Guest engagements as a dancer/actor took him to theatres in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Cologne, Braunschweig and Lübeck, where he worked with directors such as Jens-Daniel Herzog, Katharina Thalbach, Andrea Schwalbach, Günter Krämer, Jan Philipp Gloger, Francisco Negrin, Torsten Fischer and Hardy Rudolz. In 2012/13 he was honoured by tanznetz.de as dancer of the season.
Since 2003 Olaf Reinecke has been active as choreographer and choreographic assistant (among others Eugen Onegin at the Frankfurt Opera, My Fair Lady at the Theater Heidelberg, Sunset Boulevard at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, Die Fledermaus and Die Blume von Hawaii at the Neue Eutiner Festspiele). In 2009, together with Bärbel Stenzenberger, he founded the dance company bo komplex in Bonn, with which he has premiered ten full-length productions to date.
