Count Ribbing / Basso
The Bulgarian studies in Sofia and Graz. Until 2010 he belongs to the ensemble of the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, where he gives Abimélech in Samson et Dalila and Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin. After a season at the Theater Bern, where he can be seen in Tosca, Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen and Don Giovanni, he moved to the Leipzig Opera. His roles there include Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia, various roles in The Rakeʼs Progress and Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro. As Prince Gremin, Milcho Borovinov makes a guest appearance at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and makes his Salzburg debut in 2013 under Christian Thielemann as Titurel in Parsifal; he also travels to Beijing with this production.
He can be seen in Rienzi for the Wagner anniversary of the Bayreuth Festival in 2013. This will be followed by appearances at the Teatro dellʼOpera di Roma, at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg and in Bratislava. In 2015/16 he will appear in Elektra at the Semperoper Dresden, in 2017 and 2018 at the Staatsoper Berlin and at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where he will give Bertrand in Jolanthe. He performs at the Wernigeröder Schlossfestspiele in Rigoletto and Colline in La Bohème at the Theater Lüneburg.
