Born in Istanbul, Hale Soner studies singing in her hometown at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University. One year later, after graduating in 2003, she won first prize at the Siemens Opera Competition in Istanbul for the promotion of talented young opera singers, which includes a one-year scholarship to the opera studio of the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe. This was followed by further vocal training with Güzin Gürel and Renata Scotto, among others.
In 2008 Hale Soner wins the Lina Pagliughi Singing Prize at the 4th International Competition Duchi d´Acquaviva in Atri, Italy. From 2009 to 2016 she is a member of the ensemble of the Theater Magdeburg and performs as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, as Lauretta in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, as Violetta in La Traviata and in the title roles of Donizetti's operas Lucia di Lammermoor and Maria Stuarda. Guest engagements have taken her to the Bonn Opera and the St. Margarethen Festival in Austria, and she also appears as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte and as Violetta in La Traviata at the Istanbul State Opera and at the Eutin Festival.
