born in Konstanz, Germany, Milad Kuhpai is initially successful as an award-winning pianist, soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. Due to his great passion for music theatre, he changed his profession and was accepted for singing studies at the Musikhochschule Lübeck. Milad Kuhpai is currently studying for a Master's degree with Prof. Manuela Uhl. The bassist has participated in various opera productions at an early stage, including Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" (Antonio, Puccini's "La Bohème" (Colline) and Lortzing's "Der Wildschütz" (Bachulus). In the field of sacred music he is also a regular soloist at various masses, cantatas and passions. He performs with various orchestras, including the Gewandhaus Leipzig and the Laeiszhalle Hamburg.
Colourful entertainment, great emotions - this is the enormous emotional range promised by director Tobias Materna for the production of the musical "A Cage Full of Fools" at the Eutin Festival.
The Korean baritone Hyunkyum Kim won the Eutin Festival prize of honour. Hilary Griffiths, Artistic Director Classical Music at the Festival, congratulated the 28-year-old singer on this success in the finale of the Maritim Music Prize.
